  • Not only should they ban cellphone use while driving, I just got plowed over by someone walking and talking on a cellphone. She was absolutely not paying attention. It's dangerous out there.
  • The Presbyterian preacher who wrote, "The church isn't for saints, it's for sinners and broken people like me who need God and need each other," is in opposition to the Apostle Paul, who said, by inspiration, that there are saints in the church of Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 14:33; 16:15; 2 Corinthians 1:1; Ephesians 1:1, and many other verses.)
  • Ball players come off the field to catch their breath. A 53-year-old has-been entertainer dances and sings for 15 minutes and her vocals are just as clear as if they were recorded in a studio. Amazing.
  • The West Virginia Senate is trying to kill the texting bill again, by adding talking on a cellphone. Is there some magical difference between talking on a cellphone and a CB radio?
  • Congratulations to President Obama regarding our improving economy and job growth. Just think how much further along we would be if we could have received any help from the GOP. I hope that voters remember this in our next election.
  • For those who are rejoicing about the economy improving, how much longer do you think this is going to last, especially with gas prices increasing?
  • To all of you Democrats who are so critical of Newt's past, who are you to cast any stones? In spite of their corrupt lifestyles, you've continued to keep the Kennedys and others in office. Newt says that he has prayed for forgiveness, so who are we to judge?
  • Once and for all, the Bible says God gave mankind the earth to be stewards of. That means we're supposed to take care of it.
  • Most healthy Americans don't need the national anthem to make love by. Pull yourself together.
  • I liked the article in Sunday's paper -- the lady who said she wrote letters to her grandchildren only to find out they couldn't read cursive and they were teenagers. Recently found that out by my 12-year-old granddaughter who has a 4.0 grade average can't read cursive either. They don't teach it anymore. We're raising illiterate children who are glued to their cellphones.
  • It's a shame that our prosecutor spends more time in front of the TV camera than he does in the courtroom.
  • Regarding the new DMV requirements for renewal of your license, why has nothing been written about the requirement for women for a marriage license to prove their name? The state didn't say anything about it, and the only way you find out is when you go to renew. I know of a lady that went five times and still can't get her license.
  • Ezekiel 23:19-20 says, and I quote, "yet she increased her harlotry, remembered the days of her youth when she played the harlot in the land of Egypt and doted upon her paramours there, whose members are like those of asses and whose itches are like that of horses." Now you tell me how that pertains to mountaintop removal. You can't.
  • To the question about funerals, surely in loving memory, people can try to work together for the funeral -- plan together and pay for the expenses together.
  • I see where the Town Center is adding four new high-end, as they call it, stores to the Town Center. In other words, they're putting shops for upwardly mobile people with lots of cash to spend. Apparently, Town Center has not got a clue. Even some of the rich are shopping in the smaller places. That's why Corridor G is always packed and the Town Center isn't.
